Shreveport’s own Zhailon Levingston will be opening his third major production in NYC as director (and his second on Broadway) with Cats: The Jellicle Ball this spring, but first he will be leading an all-star cast of Stage Center favorites in Larry Kramer’s masterwork, The Normal Heart, starring Artistic Director Jared Watson!

Larry Kramer’s masterwork of Love, Rage, and Pride is the story of a city in denial. The Normal Heart unfolds like a real-life political thriller – as a tight-knit group of friends refuses to let doctors, politicians, and the press bury the truth behind a wall of silence. This outrageous, unflinching and totally unforgettable look at the sexual politics of New York during the AIDS crisis remains one of the theater’s most powerful evenings ever.

For the first time in forever, experience the musical phenomenon that has taken the world by storm! In the beautiful mountainous kingdom of Arendelle, Princesses Anna and Elsa grow up sheltered inside their castle, isolated from the world and increasingly distant from each other. When Elsa is crowned queen, the magical powers she’s desperately tried to conceal from her sister take control, and she flees into the mountains. As a ferocious winter descends on Arendelle, Anna sets off on an epic journey to find Elsa and bring her home – with the help of hardworking ice harvester Kristoff, his loyal reindeer Sven, and a happy-go-lucky snowman named Olaf.

Closed: August 16, 2026
Location: Marjorie Lyons Playhouse

The winner of six Tony® Awards (including Best Book, Best Score, Best Orchestrations, and Best Musical), the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album, and an Olivier Award for Best Musical, Dear Evan Hansen is a deeply personal and profoundly contemporary musical about life and the way we live it, featuring a score by Grammy, Tony and Academy Award winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (A Christmas Story, La La Land, The Greatest Showman).

All his life, Evan Hansen has felt invisible. But when a tragic event shocks the community and thrusts him into the center of a rapidly evolving controversy, Evan is given the opportunity of a lifetime: the chance to be somebody else. As his web of well-intentioned lies begins to unravel, though, Evan is forced to confront the fact that the price of belonging may be far steeper than he bargained for.
