Triple Threat Training
Triple Threat is designed to provide beginning and intermediate elementary students the opportunity to learn and develop foundational acting, singing, and dancing skills while having fun and building lifelong friendships with fellow students. Students who take one semester of Triple Threat will feel more confident and comfortable working with and performing in front of peers and parents, as well as preparing for future auditions. Students who consistently take Triple Threat throughout their elementary years will have a strong foundation in all three skills and will be confident and prepared to audition for Stage Center’s Junior Troupe and Shows, as well as performance opportunities at their school, church, and throughout the community. For the Spring, 2022 semester we will be offering a Junior and Senior section of Triple Threat.

Stage combat is an introductory class to the art of Unarmed Stage Combat. Students will learn how to safely and effectively produce violent moments on stage. Safety is the number one concern in this class. Stage Combat can be dangerous, but all students will be under close supervision to ensure safety at all times. Students will learn how to perform stage techniques such as slaps, punches, falls, kicks, shoves, joint locks, etc. Students will also learn how to convincingly be the victim and hide “knaps,” or sounds produced by a strike.
Upon completion of this class, students will be more prepared to work with a fight choreographer during a production and be better prepared for stunt portions at future auditions.
At our recital, students will produce a scene of their choosing, incorporating the learned skills, choreographed by the instructor.
All techniques will align with those used by the Society of American Fight Directors. This is the organization of stage combat in the United States which ensures safety and quality control.
