Disney's ALADDIN
THE BROADWAY MUSICAL JR.

Discover A Whole New World in a Whole New Way.

FALL PRODUCTION CLASS

The story you know and love has been given the royal treatment! Aladdin and his three friends, Babkak, Omar, and Kassim, are down on their luck until Aladdin discovers a magic lamp and the Genie who has the power to grant three wishes. Wanting to earn the respect of the princess, Jasmine, Aladdin embarks on an adventure that will test his will and his moral character. Disney’s Aladdin JR. is based on the 1992 Academy-Award®-winning film and the 2014 hit Broadway show about the “diamond in the rough” street rat who learns that his true worth lies deep within.

BIG, EXCITING, MAGICAL NEWS FOR STAGE CENTER'S SCHOOL OF PERFORMING ARTS!!!
While attending the Junior Theater Festival in Atlanta, GA in January, we were selected to receive one of the VERY FIRST licenses to perform this ALL-NEW version, based on the HIT Broadway production! In addition to new songs and characters created for Broadway, the honor comes with the use of the Genie's lamp, direct from the Broadway production, which they sent home with us!
Disney Theatrical Group has started the "Pass The Lamp" initiative, which means that we can use this amazing prop in our production as the beginning of its journey before we send it on to another group somewhere in the world to use in their production. Talk about creating community! Follow us on Instagram @stagecenter to see all the local places the lamp visits... maybe your wish will be granted to be entered into a drawing for free tickets if you post a picture with it!

In response, we have decided to take the ENTIRE CAST of our production of Aladdin Jr. to perform 15 minutes of the production for adjudication at JTF in January 2019. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for some students in our community. Some restrictions apply, so interested families should email [email protected] for all the details.
